Santiago Alban

Santiago has more than 13 years of experience in the areas of administrative, public procurement, real estate, foreign investment and dispute resolution. He advises national and international companies, combining knowledge of the public sector and its interrelation with the private sector.

His experience stands out in managerial functions in Decentralized Autonomous Governments and in the Central State; including in his practice litigation in local and international courts, as well as large scale national and international arbitrations.

In real estate law, he advises major construction companies and real estate developers in the country on municipal regulatory matters, as well as on complex infrastructure contracts, including public-private alliances, joint ventures and NEC contracts.

Studies

Santiago holds a law degree from Universidad San Francisco de Quito, where he obtained a specialization in alternative dispute resolution methods. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Brown University and a Master’s Degree in Administrative Law and Public Contracting from Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar. He earned a diploma in leadership and competitiveness from Georgetown University.
