Heka Law Firm and Zion sign collaboration agreement in Ecuador

After three months of negotiations,
Heka Law Firm
and its Ecuadorian compatriot Zion, an investment fund and trust administrator, signed a long-term collaboration agreement.

Both parties reached an agreement in early April, which they formalized on May 10 in Guayaquil after waiting a prudent period of time, taking into account the state of emergency decreed in the country. The agreement that seals the strategic alliance between both companies was signed by Andrés Terán, partner of Heka, and Rafael Sandoval, general manager of Zion.

Terán told LexLatin that they are now jointly developing some products for the benefit of their clients who will have access to a strengthened portfolio of legal and fiduciary services and are also looking for business opportunities with new clients. He highlighted Zion’s considerable market presence, experience, ideas and professional, ethical and proactive human capital: “We see many similarities in the work culture of both companies, in their business vision and medium- and long-term objectives.

He believes that Zion’s services will benefit the law firm’s clients and vice versa, in addition to opening up the possibility of creating new business units that will help both companies meet their objectives. He clarified that each company will manage its customer portfolio as it has done so far.

“We have been working together for several months on various projects, and we have created a bond between the two companies that invites us to make this alliance something with a longer-term vision,” said Santiago Albán, partner at HEKA.
