Heka is a law firm aware of the importance of the co-responsibility of the whole society to close gender gaps. Therefore, we are implementing this transformation from our firm and we are looking for more and more actors in society to join our project “HEKA VIOLETA”, a network through which you can acquire legal advice on issues related to the violet economy.

The violet economy is a public policy promoted by the National Government that seeks to promote the economic activation and empowerment of women’s rights in the country. In this sense, the purpose of the Organic Law to Promote the Violet Economy is to strengthen, promote, guarantee and execute the mainstreaming of the gender and multicultural approach through the generation of incentives and public policies that encourage the civil population to empower women in their diversity.

Through this Law, the State has implemented a number of policies to increase women’s employability. Among them, we can highlight the following obligations at the corporate level:

Companies with twenty-five or more workers must promote specific procedures to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace to deal with complaints or claims that may be made by those who have been subjected to such harassment.

Companies with fifty or more employees must draw up an equality plan. A set of measures adopted with the objective of achieving equal treatment and fair opportunities between women and men in the company, eliminating discrimination of any type of gender and multiculturalism.

All types of companies covered by the Organic Law to Promote the Violet Economy, at the time of forming their boards of directors, must ensure that for every 3 members, one of them must be female.

HEKA VIOLETA aims to provide training services on legal issues in order to achieve women’s economic empowerment, gender equity and violet economy. For this reason, our commitment is focused on the entrepreneurial sector, as well as on all small and medium-sized businesses driven by women, accompanying the process from their creation.
