José Manuel Albornoz

José Manuel has more than 19 years of experience in financial and tax matters. He has advised clients in the oil, industrial, commercial, hotel, services, mass consumption and health sectors, in important transactions of local and international business groups, corporate restructurings, purchase and sale of businesses, mergers, tax issues and other labor matters with financial impact.

Its advice focuses on the accompaniment before the Internal Revenue Service, other tax authorities and control entities such as the Superintendence of Companies, among others. In addition, he is an expert accountant-tax expert, qualified by the Judiciary Council of Ecuador.

He began his professional experience as an officer of the Internal Revenue Service and for thirteen years he was part of the tax team of one of the most important law firms in Ecuador and the region, where he led his practice as Manager.

Studies

José Manuel holds a degree in Business Management Engineering from the Universidad Metropolitana, a specialist in International Financial Reporting Standards IFRS from the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Master’s Degree in Financial Management, MDF from ISEAD Business School, attached to the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
