Alberto is HEKA's specialist in competition law and market regulation.

With years of experience before the Superintendency for the Control of Market Power (SCPM), he has led merger notification processes, investigations of restrictive practices, and abuse of dominant position. He has advised companies from multiple sectors — telecommunications, retail, mass consumption, banking, and the pharmaceutical sector — in the design of competition compliance programs and in defense during administrative proceedings. Alberto actively participates in competition policy forums and is recognized as one of the leading experts in the field in Ecuador.
