César Caicedo is an attorney graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE), with solid legal training and extensive experience in tax law. At HEKA, he serves as Associate Attorney in the Tax Unit, where he leads the technical execution of tax matters, coordinating with the area head and the firm's partners to ensure the quality and consistency of the services provided.
His practice focuses on drafting formal tax claims, preparing technical-legal reports on the viability of administrative procedures, representing clients before public entities in tax audits and dispute resolution processes. He also advises on tax optimization strategies, identifying fiscal risks and opportunities in accordance with current regulations.
He has broad cross-functional experience advising all areas of the firm on tax matters, ensuring the correct interpretation, application and compliance of current regulations. He also leads the drafting of technical-tax proposals, negotiation of contractual conditions and onboarding of new clients, and participates in tax litigation and the structuring and implementation of corporate vehicles.
